visit of Japan Middle East Medical Association

According to the Office of International Affairs in School of Medicine at TUMS, on Tuesday 11/27/2015 Japan Middle East Medical Association (Chairman: Yasuhiro Yamamoto (Advisor, Tokyo Rinkai Hospital), Vice Chairman: Yoshio Uetsuka (Professor, Department of Health Services and Hospital Administration, Tokyo Woman’s Medical University) and Executive Member: Yuichi Koido (Director, Emergency Medicine, National Hospital Organization Disaster Medical Center/Director, Japan Disaster Medical Assistance Team) visited Office of International Affairs, Medical Genetics & Immunology Department in School of Medicine at TUMS in order to promote scientific collaborations and also be familiar with teaching and research faculties of the School.
At the beginning of this visit, Dr. Rezaei, Vice Dean of International Affairs explained briefly about the history of the School of Medicine and statistics of Iranian and International students as well as educational Departments and Hospitals. He also mentioned some international collaborations of school.
He also talked about the perspectives of Office of International Affairs in areas of education, research and treatment in the School of Medicine.
Then Dr. Rezai accompanied the Association to visit the equipment and laboratories of the Department of Genetics, including cell culture laboratory in the School of Medicine.
In the Department of Genetics, Dr. Tavakkoli the head, Dr. Ghadami faculty member graduated from Nagasaki University along with his colleagues from the faculty members welcomed and hosted guests during a meeting at the conference hall of the group.
Then in the Department of Immunology, Dr. Nourbakhsh faculty member explained about the history of the Department of Immunology and showed the statistics of Iranian and foreign students and international activities with foreign centers.
At the end of the meeting of the Medical Society of the Middle East, Japan visited Tehran Heart Center Hospital.
